Meet Our 2014 Performers!
Now, he is at it again. McVicker’s latest album, Underneath (Out of the Box Records), explores the earthy, practical truths and the mysterious beauty of the Kingdom of God.
Inspired by Jesus’ teachings that the Kingdom of God does not lie on the surface, Underneath is the most connected group of songs McVicker has released to date. McVicker’s self-produced Underneath is the deep-lyric, folk-rock his loyal listeners have come to expect. However, there are come sonic surprises.
Underneath travels down some roads McVicker has not ventured down before. There is the ethereal and bare-boned “Savior, Savior”; the rollicking, Irish sounding, party-prayer, “Come Back to Your Heart”; the title track’s ’70s funk; and the quirky “The Way Up Is the Way Down”.
After growing up in Kansas, McVicker began working with the late, great Rich Mullins. The two of them performed concerts, wrote songs, and were roommates in New Mexico. McVicker was then in the car wreck that killed Mullins.
Shortly after Mullins’s death, and while McVicker was still deep in recovery (a process that lasted years), the two of them won the GMA’s Dove Award for song of the year, for their writing of “My Deliverer”.
McVicker continues to travel the country and perform concerts, and will do so for as long as the Lord sees fit. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia, and loves spending time with his wife, Paula, and their two children, Brooklyn and Payson.
When he is not on the road doing concerts, McVicker wears all the hats needed to make an underneath-style music career go. He handles booking, creative management, recording, tour management, publicity, merchandise management, promotional efforts, etc.

I was born into a very musical family. I first began to sing in churches, street outreaches, nursing homes and local community events when I was quite young. After learning some guitar, I began to play the banjo around the age of 12 (and later fiddle and mandolin). This led to a long history of picking banjo and singing with the “Denman Family” (and others) at bluegrass festivals, churches, competitions, theatres, fish fry’s and the like.
In regards to my first exposure to faith, I was taught the scriptures by my father and the little Baptist church we attended. I accepted the Lord before the age of 10.
In 1978, Frances and I got married and began to have a family (3 kids that are now grown and 4 grandkids so far). After 35 years, we are still in love and still married, praise the Lord! From the early 80’s on, I began to write my own music. It was during these early years, while in my twenties, that I also lead Bible studies and worship, and some years later, became a pastor/teacher of a small body of believers. I have been blessed to play, perform, and record with some great musicians, and to have other artists record some of my material. I pray that my songs are more than just music. My hope is that they would not only sound good, but that they would move the heart of the listener!
The Lord has been so very good and faithful to me and my family! I love Him much and enjoy sharing what He has given me!
LoveCollide is a pop/rock Christian duo. They released their debut self-titled CD to rave reviews in April and our currently on tour. “The goal of our music is to inspire others to live an abundant life through an authentic relationship with an authentic God. Our mission is to awaken a movement to ignite a wildfire passion for Jesus in the hearts of this generation and those to come.”
“Music has no substance right now”, says the confident Indianapolis native. “The bar needs to be
raised; an original creative standard must be set in music.” Nue Breed believes that real quality shines
through his music and it will leave a dramatic life changing impact on every listener.
Benjamin Ryan Farr (Nue Breed) was born to Pastor Bruce and Loretta Farr, raised in Indianapolis,
IN. Rapping and writing music was a true gift from God, which flourished at the age of seven. Years later, he
and two close friends formed a group called C.O.R.P 1(Christ Our Righteous Praise). The group performed all
over the country and was also nationally distributed through EMI music group. Following the releasing of their
national debut album, “Tha’ Bizzness”, the group disbanded and went their separate ways.
Now he’s back better than ever, he realizes that music is a powerful art that attracts people of various
ages, race and cultures. Nue Breed’S original sound was to engage a gospel audience/ gospel music genre,
but now he acknowledges that music is limitless and his sound has no strings attached. Currently Nue Breed
makes great music for the entire world that is out of the box, inspirational and furthermore reaches a
multitude. Nue Breed plans to spread the message of truth by making ‘crossover’ music without compromising
but bridging the gap!
Nue Breed is an artist who is the total power package! He is a songwriter, producer and a
percussionist. His performance with extraordinary energy at high intensity demands the attention from small
crowds or even a stadium with thousands of people. Nue Breed’s positive music has a message that is laid over
hard hitting beats with a mixture of a pinch of pop, a drop of rock and a hint of rhythm and blues tossed into
a blender and turned up extremely high!

In the fall of 2012 they entered the studio with Dustin Simpson of Awaken to record their new album, Against All Odds, which featured former rhythm guitarist Becca on lead vocals. With this CD, A World Apart continued to dominate the local music scene. Keep an eye out for this up and coming hard rock group. Their high energy stage show is one you won’t want to miss.

Blake Whiteley was finding fame as a secular artist, when God decided to hit him hard with the reality of his brokenness. He literally walked off stage while performing at a
Wiz Khalifa concert, flew home and found Jesus waiting. He now uses his musical
talents for Christ. Blake’s music requires interaction as it pulls the audience into
active participation. In the midst of the poignantly gritty truth of the message, the
album is full of witty catch phrases that add a lighthearted feel to the deep
message: “If loving you is weird, then I’m trying to be the weirdest.” One can’t
help being captured by the music and then convicted by his testimony and the
“My goal is to reach people where they are through a means with which they can
connect: Music – specifically Hip Hop. I use music to speak my testimony, real
truths, and God’s Word into them. Satan and ‘the world’ are screaming lies into
our young people. I want to scream truth louder.” – Blake Whiteley
